All 16 Season 35 pairings, in ABC’s order
Here is the full field as ABC News published it Wednesday, celebrity first, pro partner second.
- Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress of “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Save the Last Dance.”
- Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy. Dewan backed Janet Jackson and Christina Aguilera before “Step Up.” She now stars on ABC’s “The Rookie.”
- Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik. Ali played Ashley Banks on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” opposite current “DWTS” co-host Alfonso Ribeiro.
- Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart. One-third of the pop-rock band Hanson, behind the “Middle of Nowhere” hit “MMMBop.”
- Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach. A Paralympic gold medalist born with congenital limb differences and a co-founder of Angel City Sports.
- Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov. The three-time U.S. national champion helped Team USA win figure skating gold at the 2026 Olympics.
- Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold. The social media comedian known as “Fibula” to 1.3 million followers and an NBC correspondent at the 2026 Olympics.
- Sarah Jane Nader and Hailey Bills. Star of the Hulu/Disney+ series “Love Thy Nader”; her sister Brooks Nader placed ninth in Season 33.
- Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess. The “Bachelorette” Season 15 contestant now runs a construction and home-flipping business.
- Giada DeLaurentiis and Alan Bersten. The Emmy-winning chef behind Food Network’s “Everyday Italian,” which launched in 2003 and ran 12 seasons.
- Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Chmerkovskiy. “Glee’s” Mike Chang was a backup dancer for Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé before that role, and starred in “Step Up 2.”
- Conner Leavitt and Adele Zaikman. Husband of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt; he made his off-Broadway debut in May.
- Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson. Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick of more than 23 years, discovered in the parking lot he guarded.
- Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas. The “Love Island” alum finished second on “The Traitors” this year, behind Rob Rausch.
- Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong. The “Summer House” star who recently co-hosted “Love Island USA: Aftersun.”
- Jackson Olson and Emma Slater. The Savannah Bananas player, whose exhibition team works dance routines and comedy into its games.
One naming wrinkle is worth flagging: ABC News lists Shum’s partner as Jenna Chmerkovskiy in its header, while the photo caption on the same entry reads “Jenna Johnson.” ABC does not reconcile the two spellings in the story, so we use the header version.
The Next Pro winner got her celebrity
The pairing most in doubt going into Wednesday belonged to a dancer nobody had seen in the ballroom yet. Adele Zaikman, 24, from Los Angeles and specializing in Latin, won “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” at the end of Monday night’s finale, The Hollywood Reporter reported, and ABC News has now placed her with Conner Leavitt.
The spinoff put 12 dancers through weekly challenges for that single slot. AJ Pritchard, 31, of London — brother of “Love Island” alum Curtis Pritchard — finished second, and Selena Hamilton, 21, finished third. Season 34 champion Robert Irwin hosted, with Mark Ballas and Shirley Ballas, also head judge of “Strictly Come Dancing,” as permanent judges.
The spinoff also doubled as a preview of the Season 35 pro roster. Per THR, Brandon Armstrong and Witney Carson were among its guest judges, Britt Stewart and Jenna Johnson mentored episodes three and four, and Daniella Karagach set the episode-five challenge — and every one of them, plus Mark Ballas, is dancing with a celebrity this season. Carson also told THR she is returning while pregnant: “I love dance. I love to compete. I love being on the show, and I also love being a mom, and I want to grow my family.”
The rumor scorecard: everyone landed
Good Housekeeping’s Sept. 1 tracker named six rumored celebrities — Giada De Laurentiis, Taylor Hanson, Jenna Dewan, Harry Shum Jr., Julia Stiles and Conner Leavitt — alongside four ABC had already confirmed: Rodriguez, Higgins, Miller and Olson. All ten are in Wednesday’s pairings. That tracker had already matched Rodriguez with Witney Carson; every other partner it listed as TBA — Higgins, Miller, Olson and all six rumored names — is now set.
The August reporting chain held up too, as we tracked in our earlier Season 35 cast tracker. Page Six reported on Aug. 20 that Stiles was headed to the ballroom, adding that TMZ had reported Sarah Jane Nader and Tatyana Ali, and that Us Weekly had reported Tyler Cameron and Jenna Dewan. All five are in the official cast. Page Six also noted that ABC does not comment on casting rumors, which is why the “confirmed” versus “rumored” split mattered right up to Wednesday morning.
The panel, the hosts and how to watch
The judging table is unchanged: Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. As “Good Morning America” noted, Inaba and Tonioli have sat on the panel together for each of the show’s 35 seasons, while Hough started two decades ago as a pro and became a judge in Season 29.
“You can expect what you know and love about ‘Dancing With the Stars’ but also an energized show,” Hough said Tuesday on “GMA.” “We have so much momentum. The cast is incredible.” Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough return as hosts; Ribeiro said the show’s “magic” is the thoughtful pairing of celebrities and pros, and Julianne Hough teased that “the fashion is going to be really fun with one specific theme night.”
For viewing, Season 35 premieres Sept. 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming on Hulu. ABC News discloses that The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of ABC News, Disney+ and Hulu. What happens next
With all 16 pairings public, the open questions move to the floor. A two-night premiere means scores and elimination pressure arrive faster than a single-night opener allows, and the matchups already set expectations: Dewan and Shum both worked as backup dancers before their breakout screen roles, while Frech, Glenn and Olson arrive from elite sport — though ABC notes Olson’s Savannah Bananas act is already built on dance routines.
Page Six noted that “DWTS,” which premiered in 2005, has surged in popularity lately — especially Season 34, won by Robert Irwin, son of the late “Crocodile Hunter” star Steve Irwin. Julianne Hough’s teased theme night and Zaikman’s rookie season are the two swing factors nobody can score yet. Derek Hough’s read on “GMA” was blunt: “It’s going to be an incredible season. I cannot wait.”
